Local REALTOR e-PRO® Agent Utilizing Technology to Provide Consumers With State-of-the-Art Services
(February 24, 2007) – As more and more consumers begin their search for real estate-related information on the Internet, it is critical that real estate professionals are well educated in the use of technology to the benefit of both the consumer and the agent and/or broker.
Realizing the importance of technology training, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) now offers its members the e-PRO certification course -- the only technology certification program offered by NAR. The program is designed to prepare real estate professionals to make the most of Internet technology and to identify, evaluate, and implement new Internet business models. CHERYL MENAYAS, REALTOR ACCEPTED TO THE MRE SOCIETY
OF THE ARIZONA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®
Phoenix, AZ (11/25/06) -- Cheryl Menayas,a REALTOR with Arizona Best Real Estate and a member of the Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® was recently accepted into the MRE (Master of Real Estate) Society by the Arizona Association of REALTORS®.
Criteria to belong to this Society within the Arizona Association of REALTORS® is:
- Be a REALTOR® in good standing
- Hold an NAR-recognized designation (earned after completion of 90 hours of classroom instruction and examinations)
- Hold another NAR-recognized designation or be a candidate for another designation awarded by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR)
- Take 54 hours of continuing education during the two-year period immediately prior to application or renewal
- Earn 10 points through additional educational classes, attendance at NAR or AAR conferences, or service on local, state, or national committees
Additionally, the criteria must be met every two years to maintain active in the Society. Membership recognizes the individual's dedication to excellence through professional education and commitment to staying abreast of the latest real estate regulations and practices. Only members on the REALTOR® organization may belong to this Society. Minimum educational requirements to renew a real estate license in the state of Arizona is 24 hours of continuing education every two years. This individual has far exceeded the minimum. Less than two percent of REALTORS® in Arizona belong to this elite Society.
Cheryl has continued her education obtaining the GRI designation, Graduate of REALTOR® Institute, and the MRE designation, Master of Real Estate. Other certifications and designations include the AHWD designation, At home with diversity, a Fair Housing designation and the RECS designation, real estate cyberspace specialist providing her clients with the latest internet marketing for their property. As a Scottsdale resident with a home in McDowell Mountain Ranch, she is ready to serve a variety of needs including researching the Luxury Second Home market. Cheryl Menayas, a member of the SAAR, Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS®, was recently awarded the Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation by the Arizona Association of REALTORS. The designation is indicated by the initials "GRI" following the Realtor's printed name.
Menayas was awarded the designation after completing 90 hours of classroom instruction and examinations, covering subjects such as contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance and risk reduction. Courses are taught by leading real estate instructors from around the state.
Individuals completing the program learn the fundamentals of brokerage and other areas of real estate specialization, allowing them to better serve prospective clients and customers.
Menayas joins a select group of other residential specialists in Arizona who have earned the designation this year.
The Institute is designed to educate practitoners about local, state and national real estate practices that affect them, their clients and customers. The designation indicates to the public that the individual has obtained a professional educational foundation on which to base the services they provide. Only members of the Realtor organization may earn the GRI designation. The Realtor Institute is more than twenty-five years old and has graduated thousands of Realtors nationally.
The SAAR is one of 1,800 local associations of Realtor that comprise the National Association of Realtors, representing over 800,000 real estate professionals around the country.

Cheryl Menayas Awarded Real Estate CyberSpace Specialist (RECS) Designation by the Real Estate Cyberspace Society
